Meridian comes in first place, with 34 percent of its housing market built in 2014 or later. That's the highest share of newer homes on the market in the country, according to the National Association of Realtors.
Meridian grew from 35,000 people to 90,000 people in the span of about 15 years. This can be attributed to it being centrally located in the Treasure Valley - where there are plenty of outdoor opportunities and a strong tech industry.
